Market Snapshot

Population, income, and housing values use Census Reporter ACS 2024 5-year place estimates, cited against the pinned 5-year release rather than the moving latest release. Employer counts are JAXUSA Partnership figures as published by the Jax Daily Record in October 2023, the most recent ranked list available without a subscription. Ownership, headcount, and headquarters changes since that list were verified separately in September 2026 and are noted inline. No ranked public list newer than October 2023 is available without a subscription; the 2026 Jacksonville Business Journal ranking is subscriber only.

Jacksonville is a wide-corridor service market with unusually strong personal injury law visibility. Local buyers compare firms across Downtown, Southside, Mandarin, Orange Park, the Beaches, and St. Johns County, so category pages need both city-level and corridor-level evidence. The corridors are not a stylistic distinction: median household income at the Beaches runs roughly 1.7 times the citywide figure, and median home values roughly double it.

The public employer list has moved

The most widely cited ranked list of Northeast Florida employers dates from October 2023 and is still reproduced as current. At least three entries have since changed materially. Black Knight, listed at about 2,120 employees, was acquired by Intercontinental Exchange for $11.9 billion in 2023, and in December 2024 ICE named Jacksonville the national headquarters of its mortgage technology division. By its February 2026 annual report, Jacksonville was ICE largest office site of any location. Bank of America sold ICE its 52 acre Deerwood Park campus for $42 million in January 2025. Fanatics, listed at about 1,700, closed its West Jacksonville fulfillment center in January 2024. A business buying local visibility on the strength of a three year old employer list is reading a market that no longer exists.

Personal injury marketing hub

Morgan & Morgan publicly positions itself as America's largest injury law firm, while Forbes reported major national revenue and annual marketing spend behind its brand. That makes Jacksonville legal visibility a useful benchmark market, even though Morgan & Morgan is headquartered in Orlando.

Local legacy competition

Farah & Farah traces its roots to Jacksonville in 1979 and remains one of the most visible local injury-law brands. That creates a strong national-versus-local comparison angle for legal marketing research.

Corridor-driven local search
