A recharge adds refrigerant. It does not explain why the system became low or prove that the compressor has failed. The decision-changing detail is what the shop will test before it proposes parts. Leak checking and electrical testing may lead to different repairs.
| Detail | What it should explain |
|---|---|
| Testing charge | What diagnosis includes and whether the charge is separate from the repair. |
| Refrigerant | Which refrigerant the vehicle requires and whether the quoted total includes it. |
| Failed part and repair | The finding behind a proposed compressor, condenser or hose replacement. |
| Coverage after repair | The parts and labor covered if the same fault returns. |
Different vehicles require different equipment and refrigerant. Give the shop the exact vehicle details before treating an advertised AC service as a match.
